Although anyone can Tweet, it takes some real thought and effort to make it a success for your business objectives. A good case study for this is my previous post covering Guy Kawasaki’s Twitter Tactics. Once you’ve got the plan, you also need the tools which begs the question:
What are your Top Twitter Tools?
Here are five of mine:
- An obvious but mandatory starting point is Twitter Search where I can quickly interrogate a particular topic or keyword
- TweetMeme is a great resource to identify influencers that I possibly want to target for retweets
- Tweet o Clock lets me figure out when someone tweets the most, to decide when I should contact them to most likely get retweeted. A bit rough around the edges yet but an innovative concept
- Palms Trend Tracker gives a nice visual presentation of Twitter trends over time and up and coming topics before they hit the top ten
- Tweetie for iPhone lets me stay on top of my twittering where ever I am
Bonus tool: TweetBeep works just like Google Alerts but for Tweets, great to stay on top of what people are saying about your brand
