SEO, PPC, Social Media – Who’s Best for the Job?

I’m sure any reader of this blog would agree with the importance of SEO, PPC, and Social Media and quality content being a key ingredient to all this. We also know how important it is to have the very best people for each area. But how do you manage to do so if you’re not sure where the boundaries are – or if there should even be any?

Let’s say your looking to expand from PPC into SEO – who’s best suited for the job? Is it your PPC expert who understands keywords and relevance or your Content Editor who knows how to create compelling content? Or perhaps your PR Expert that can help spread the word and get you authoritative on-topic links?

Or is it perhaps an altogether new role with more of a project manager flavour who can drive the SEO from a technical perspective and use both aforementioned resources to their best abilities?

Are even the best SEO’s “Jack of All Trades, Master of None?”

Sure there are SEO’s that does all of the above; keywords, link building, technical implementation, writing content and seeding through social media, but is it the optimal solution and if not – what’s the alternative?
